What Is Dry Skin?

Dry facial skin has a tendency to be dry and typically feels tight and slightly very rough in some areas.

Very dry skin can progress to become very tight, scaly, chapped and itchy.

How To Treat Dry Skin?

Stay well-hydrated by drinking plenty of water infused with fruits and fresh vegetables for extra minerals.
Per day, your body needs about half an ounce of water for every pound of body weight.
For Instance - 140 pounds = 70 oz of water per day.

Try to avoid drinking more than 2 cups of coffee per day.
Foods that are high in salt should be avoided, as they are generally dehydrating and can make your skin look and feel even drier.

Great foods for dry skin are fruits, avocados, walnuts, almonds, sweet potatoes and dark chocolate.

Exercise regularly to relieves stress. When your body is under stress, the stress hormone, cortisol, is released.
Cortisol hormone surges can impair our skin’s barrier, leading to dryness, irritation and inflammation.
Make sure to hydrate while exercising.

Don’t take hot showers or baths.
Apply a heavy, oil-based moisturizer morning and night as it traps existing moisture in your skin.
Exfoliate. Use a light exfoliate scrub twice a week to get rid of the top layer of dead skin cells and expose newer healthier-looking skin.
