Summer’s here, and warmer months call for a few smart skincare swaps to keep your skin clear, calm, and protected. Whether you’re beach-bound, hitting the gym more often, or just sweating it out during your daily errands, here are my go-to tips to help your skin thrive in the heat.
1. Don’t skip your cleanse—adjust it.
Sweat, water resistant sunscreen, and environmental pollutants can pile up fast in summer. Now is a great time to make sure you're doing a thorough double cleanse at night and using fresh Clean Towels XL every time to keep bacteria at bay. For most skin types, Barrier Balance Creamy Cleanser followed by Ultra Gentle Gel Cleanser, is a perfect combination for a gentle yet thorough cleanse.
2. Post-sweat skin is non-negotiable.

Just because it’s hot doesn’t mean your skin doesn’t need moisturizer. In fact, heat and sun can dehydrate the skin more than you think. Swap heavy creams for lighter options that deliver hydration without the weight. Ingredients like hyaluronic acid, beta-glucan, and aloe are summer MVPs.
5. Rethink your AM actives.
Using an exfoliating acid every morning and planning to spend more time outdoors? Summer heat can make your skin extra sensitive, so this might be the season to ease up a bit. Ensure your routine is balanced with calming ingredients like green tea extract, allantoin, or centella asiatica.
