Skin Clearing Products to Bring With You Into 2025

Skin Clearing Products to Bring With You Into 2025

When it comes to treating acne, there are three things we must get under control to see changes in the skin: excess oil, bacteria, and dead skin. Having a routine that targets all these things will bring you to your skin goals.

When it comes to treating excess oil, I love the Clean Slate Clearing Mist from Clean Skin Club. This mist contains salicylic acid. This ingredient is oil-soluble and has a small molecular weight, allowing it to work deeper into the skin and absorb excess oil.

For increasing cell turnover and sloughing off dead skin cells, I love the 8% L-Mandelic Serum from Face Reality. Mandelic acid is a gentle exfoliant, and is anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-inflammatory, making it great for acne prone skin. This ingredient also helps suppress melanocyte activity, which helps to improve the appearance of post inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

My favorite products for killing the c. acnes bacteria is the 2.5% Advanced Acne Med from Face Reality. This formula contains 2.5% benzoyl peroxide that can oxygenate the pore, creating an environment that bacteria cannot survive in.

Before introducing these active products, you want to make sure your skin barrier is healthy and not sensitized. My favorite product to maintain a healthy barrier is the HydraRemedy Gel Serum from Face Reality. This product contains beta glucan, ceramides, and 4 types of hyaluronic acid to stimulate healing, repair the barrier, and hydrate the skin.

Including Clean Skin Club Clean Towels XL in your routine can also help keep your skin barrier balanced, as hand towels can be harsh on the skin. They also don’t harbor bacteria that hand towels hold onto.

Consider introducing any of these products into your routine to help you start 2025 off right with clear skin.
