There is no way to ever completely get rid of "texture" within the skin; NORMAL SKIN IS TEXTURED! Everyone has elements of uneven skin texture: enlarged pores (or pores of different sizes - genetic, btw), peach fuzz, lines, acne scars, bumpy skin, fine lines and wrinkles, & other things that are totally normal.
Our goal is to achieve healthy skin, not "perfect skin” or “smooth skin.” However, there are, of course, ways to IMPROVE skin texture.
If you are wondering how to handle skin barrier or texture concerns such as rough skin, uneven skin tone, or bumpy and uneven texture, the most effective way to improve your skin texture is to see a board-certified dermatologist or licensed esthetician for monthly treatments and establish a good customized home care routine.
Whether that’s to remove dead skin cells, clear out clogged pores, or stimulate collagen production, a skincare routine to treat textured skin should be tailored to your specific skin conditions.
That way, you address your skin texture issues with the proper ingredients to achieve your goals. You will see improvement in your skin within WEEKS!
Other great products to discuss with your dermatologist or esthetician to help with textured skin are retinoids, exfoliants for your skin type and condition, antioxidants, the proper cleansers, and more involved treatment options such as micro-dermabrasion and micro-needling.
